Curious about making your own soft plastic fishing baits? This beginner-friendly rental kit is the perfect way to dip your toes into the hobby without a big upfront investment. Packed in a reusable 16" x 16" storage box, the kit includes high-quality tools from Basstackle—trusted by hobbyists and pros alike.  Please do not toss out the box it comes in as it is part of the kit.

The Bait Maker Basics Kit is available with a 2-week (14-day) minimum rental. Each additional day you schedule the kit beyond the initial 14 days is charged at $4.50 per day.  Please note: this kit is designed to ship anywhere in the lower 48, and the time spent in transit is included in the 14-day minimum rental period.  We recommend planning ahead--make sure you have your plastisol, pigments and glitter ready to go before your kit arrives so you can make the most of your rental time.

Included in the Kit:

• Basstackle 3oz Twinjector – Shoot single- or dual-color (laminate) baits with ease.
• Basstackle 741 Craw Mold (1 cavity, 3.2") – Perfect for creating realistic craw-style baits.
• Basstackle 7" Ribbon Tail Worm Mold (1 cavity) – A classic design ideal for testing colors and flow.
• Basstackle 631 Ring Swimbait Mold (1 cavity, 3.5") – A versatile swimbait with great action.

This setup is designed to help first-timers experience working with plastisol and produce real, fishable baits. Whether you're exploring a new hobby or testing the waters before investing in your own gear, this kit gives you a hands-on feel for the bait-making process—without breaking the bank.
